phone ran out of battery. had a super swingy final table, running AKo into AA chipleader against second chipleader for half the chips in play. Really f hard to get away from cause second chipleader OPENED for 5BB...
ended up making my way back though with standard 10bb all-ins over and over again, headed into heads up with a 7:4 chip deficit (against AA guy from above). We agreed to do a deal, splitting the remaining prizepool (32575) into 16k each and playing for 575 + the ring/champagne (original would've been ~19k vs ~13k). I quite regret the deal because the blinds were still kinda small at the time (40bb effective) and I felt my opponent had some serious leaks. Still it's a pretty crapshooty structure and as much confidence as I have in my HUSNG ability I don't think doing a deal is ever too big a mistake (provided! we do the even chop thing) and it significantly lowers difference. I end up winning, so yeah.. hopefully I'm not being too results oriented here!
+16575$ for the stake. For those who have a piece of me, so far I have exactly 16575$ in cashes and I have missed 1100$ + 550$ in tournaments.
Next event on the schedule is another of the same. Right now I'm deciding between playing 2 pretty big tournaments, either the 2500$ 6max on 27 January or the 1100$ 8game later on that day. I think my edge is quite significant in both tournaments, provided the fact that the starting time of Friday 2pm attracts enough fish. What I'll probably do is turn up to crown casino at 2:15, scope out the field, and make a decision then. Because I know my edge in the 8game tournament is going to be f massive.

weeeee!!! congrats on the shippament!!! was probably more nervous than you the whole day
i know i know, out of proportion to my 0.2% but really proud of you. well done
most esp as you seem not to have tilted with the AK < AA and had presence of mind to see it to the end.
what exactly does it mean for us when you say you missed a tourn?
are you going to play another one in its place or should we effectively add it to the wins and find our % in it?

Chinny, you magnificent bastard, congratulations on the shipping!
I will use the inspiration you gave me to ship a tournament this week at the casino.

16300. Pots I've won:
flat a raise first level with 77, flop comes a52ss hu, check check turn is 7 pfr leads I raise he calls. Riv is a 3 completing fd, I bet half pot he calls claiming he had 75
won with Aa vs jj aip
raise kqo utg 9 handed with antes, get 4! Callers, I c/c the utg+1s 60% pot bet, turn is a 9, check check. River is a t, I blockbet 1/3 pot he calls and mucks. I don't expect qj too often cause villain looked kinda solid so it's kinda close on that board, he has lots of Aq combos but prob bets turn with them. In retrospect he probs had qj, lolfish
