Bet in the dark

To bet in the dark is to make a wager on a future betting round before the cards for that round have been dealt. The player declares that he will bet, no matter what the cards do. For example, if a player in Texas Hold'em announces that he will bet on the flop in the dark, he means that he will make a bet regardless of what cards come up on the flop.
