Bring-in

A bring-in is a forced bet that must be paid in the opening round. It is also called an opening bet. For instance, in Seven Card Stud, the player with the smallest door card must pay the bring-in to open the round. Bring-in bets are usual in games with antes.

A bring-in can also be the minimum bet that has to be made in the first round of betting ,or can refer to the player who pays it.
