PokerStrategy Elephant Alpha 25

The PokerStrategy Elephant has been in the "public Alpha" phase since March 12th. On Friday version 0.25 was made available to download.

Here are a few informations about the latest update, from the DevBlog:

In version .25 a lot has been done; PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and PartyPoker are supported by PokerStrategy Elephant without any apparent complication. The Titan Poker support is being actively worked on, and although automatic and manual importation of hand histories appears to work, there are still some small problems with the HUD. We expect to have fixed the Titan Poker bugs within a few days.
For performance reasons, the import is limited to 10,000 hands. But soon, we will focus on performance and remove this limit.

For the ones who don't know about the PokerStrategy Elephant yet, here is a small overview of the program:

The Overview tab



- Keep up-to-date on your progress during the last days, months and years or during your rise in limits.
- The graph is updated live during play.

The hands tab



- Every played hand is imported and displayed in this list
- Hands can be sorted into categories, and can also be selected during play for the "Grab'em" functionality, by clicking on the green hook at the tables.

The analysis tab



- All important stats are just a click away
- Preflop and post-flop matrices which are also available at the tables to check your opponents' stats easily
- Your statistics sorted by limit

 

Mini FAQ

I have never used the Elephant before. Where to start?
We would like to take this opportunity to motivate you again to test the Elephant and give us feedback about it. For anyone who hasn't used a tracker program before, installation is very easy. Just download the latest version from the DevBlog and install it.

Select your platform by clicking on the round Elephant logo in the top left of the program window. Then click on "Settings" -> "Site". There, enter the path to your hand histories. Please make sure that your poker software saves hand histories in English!

 

I already have a previous Elephant installation!
If you have already tested a previous version of the Elephant, please uninstall it first, after which you can install the current version. Then click on the round Elephant symbol in the top left, and click on "Settings". Scroll down and click "Clear settings". Then create a new database. After restarting the Elephant, everything should work fine.


Can I use my pre-installed PostgreSQL version 8.3?
Players who already have PostgreSQL version 8.3 through Hold'em Manager or PokerTracker 3 beta can keep their database and use it with Elephant without any problem.

If you have an old version of PostgreSQL that you don't use anymore, please uninstall it following these instructions before installing the Elephant.

Can I use PokerTracker2 and the Elephant at the same time?
