SoyCD Leads his Team to Victory - The Streak Continues

After a bumpy start, Team SoyCD managed to come out victorious and continued its 6 week winning streak. After a promising start - Tribun's team fell short just before the money - while Donkeys Unleashed had a relatively bad average finish but one player ITM

At the start it looked like Battle of the Donkeys #8 would go into the history books as the battle in which Tribun's team would finally break Team SoyCD's winning streak. With 2 pair vs a set, BuchoCZ would be the first Team SoyCD player to hit the rails in 22,909nd place - which put the rest of the team under pressure to do well. Yet with Vesolc, Cannell555 and Hlynkinn all shortstacked in the midphase, and Tribun's team doing well the situation looked grim. It would not be until the money ranks started approaching that the situation shifted dramatically.

While most of the Donkeys Unleashed had busted already (except for Chiller3k who was chipleader among the remaining ps.com players) the two admin teams each had 4 players left as the action headed into the last 6,000 players. Yet while ForAcesAAAA, backcushion and awishformore were all eliminated before the money - Team SoyCD pressed on. With Vesolc and TribunCaesar both busting shortly before the bubble it would thus be Team SoyCD that once again managed to bring 3 people ITM and therefore secured the double victory in average finish and money.

SoyCD and the 1 BB comeback

Shortly after reaching the money with about 3,000 players left

SoyCD found himself UTG, extremely shortstacked with slightly more than 1 BB and pushed all-in with 22. Although he was dominated by QQ - this hand would be the start of a crazy come-back that took him all the way into the depths of the money ranks.

Having managed to land a brutal suckout with 22 against the queens that called him, he proceded to rapidly increase his chipstack through aggressive and loose play - and soon found himself with over 30 BB. In the end he found himself once more shortstacked with 4,5BB and pushed ATo from mid position - but did not manage to land the crucial suckout against AK which he needed to stay in the tournament. All in all his 130th placement and $262 cash was still enough to place among the highest cashing players of the community.
