Battle of the Donkeys: Team SoyCD Back in the Lead

Team SoyCD was the only ranked team to get a player ITM and thus secured two out of three gold medals. The true winner of the round was the community team with the overall best performance.

If the community team could collect medals, they would have swept the competition this week. With two ITM placements from Hlynkinn and kennyxx, who was also the last to be eliminated, they were clearly the best team of the competition. This was underlined by their 1434 average finish which was also this week's best.

The best ranked team was Team SoyCD which collected two gold medals thanks to the excellent finish from Veriz, who finished as 526th.

This week's overall performance was not exactly stellar, with once again only three players making it ITM. Only one of those players belonged to a ranked team. In terms of average finish it was a close fight between Team SoyCD with an average of 1658 and Team Judgernaut with an average of 1642. The small margin of 16 places was enough to bring yet another gold medal to Team Judgernaut.

With 2 gold medals and a silver medal, Team SoyCD is once again in command of the overall rankings lead, while the Judgernauts have moved into third position behind the Mod Squad. Team Tribun and the Media Maniacs did not do so well and they had to settle for a silver and a bronze medal respectively.
As announced in the restructuring news, there is now an additional prize pool which will be distributed among the top players of the BOD. As soon as the extra-pot reaches $490, we will give out 1 ticket to the Sunday Million and 5 buy-ins to the Daily Eighty Grand ($50+5) among those players who are currently the best ranked players of their respective teams. This weeks poor finishes resulted in only 25$ being added to the prize pool, which resulted in a total pot size of $277,90. While we are slowly reaching the required $490, there is still a good way to go.
