Erik Biggie1982 Loschan of Germany is the 2011 PokerStrategy.com TV World Champion.

The news writer for PokerStrategy.com defeated a fellow TV tournament champion Martin77BG heads-up at a final table that included PokerStrategy.com CEO Dominik Kofert.

The tournament started as aggressively as you would expect from a table full of heat winners, with nobody showing any fear in the early levels.

In particular Xenboy, Saviorhun, and Biggie1982 made the most of the early exchanges.

Biggie1982 got off to the best start, and gradually built up a chip lead, only to be crippled when he squeezed with AQ vs Saviorhun & Martin77BG, and was called by the AT of Saviorhun, who spiked a ten on the flop to cripple him.

Speaking of crippled, possibly the best story of the tournament was the comeback of SwapShop of Germany.

Very early on he was down to just 4000 chips, with the blinds at 3000/6000, and looking to be the first casualty of the tournament.

But just a couple of orbits later, with the poker gods on his side, he managed to battle back to an average stack, and outlast Dominik Kofert, Saviorhun, and Xenboy to get to the bubble.

We were expecting a tight bubble at this point, but znah of Russia was to make it last just one hand, when he reraised all-in with 10-5 suited against the A-8 of Martin77BG, who snap called to eliminate him from the tournament.

The Writer Makes His Own Headlines

SwapShop was the next to go, collecting $3,000 after falling at the hands of Martin77BG soon after, but told us later he was delighted to make the money at all, after coming so close to elimination earlier.

Three handed and Martin77BG started to pull away from the pack, taking advantage of a tense few orbits, and eventually busting Hungarian coach axleska in 3rd place for $7,000.

He had a 2-1 chip lead in the heads-up match with Biggie1982, but soon relinquished it when he called a reraise all-in with K6 suited, vs the A6 offsuit of Loschan.

This gave a 4-1 chip lead to Biggie1982, and despite doubling up in a coinflip soon after, Martin77BG was soon sent home in 2nd place when his AQ could not hit against the pocket sevens of our new champion.

Martin77BG is the champion of Face The Ace, a Bulgarian TV tournament, and a win today would have made him a double TV champion. It was not to be, but he can be proud of his fearless performance today, and the $12,000 runner up prize.

Erik Loschan may just have been the most consistent player at the table today. Very aggressive from start to finish, and rarely putting a foot wrong.

The PokerStrategy.com writer made the headlines himself today and thoroughly deserved his $20,000 pay day, and was cheered on by all his colleagues back home in the PokerStrategy.com offices.

Congratualtions to Biggie1982, the PokerStrategy.com TV World Champion.
