BotD: Team SoyCD Extends its Lead

This week's Battle of the Donkeys once again saw Team SoyCD building its lead, while the Community Team had the best overall results. Once again it was Veriz that led them to victory.

Domination by the community team continues! While they dominated last week's results, this week 5 out 6 community team members managed to get ITM.  Together they had an incredible average finish of 722, and a total of $99 in winnings.  The second best team, and best ranked team was once more Team SoyCD.  Once again it was Veriz that brought home the medals, this time all 3 of them.

The main winner of the evening was the community team with 5 out of 6 players managing to get ITM. Furthest player was plaukas with a 93rd place finish.  But also, urmo1(205th), QcJunior (367th), sirilidion (452nd), and swissmoumout(755th) managed good finishes.

Team SoyCD which took an early blow when Chopsticks43's aces lost against queens in the first hands, managed to get 2 players ITM. The hero from last week, Veriz finished 370th and SoyCD himself, with a 573rd place. The third ranked player to get ITM was Team Tribun's andyb43, who finished 527th.

In terms of average finish, Team SoyCD (1661) managed to grab the gold before the Mod Squad (1801), along with the gold medals for the most money ($26.77) and the furthest member.

With 3 gold medals, Team SoyCD has now extended its lead to a formidable distance and is 5 medals in front of the Mod Squad. They are followed by the Judgernauts and Media Maniacs, while Team Tribun was once again close to getting gold, but slipped at the finish.
As announced in the restructuring news, there is now an additional prize pool which will be distributed among the top players of the BOD. As soon as the extra-pot reaches $490, we will give out 1 ticket to the Sunday Million and 5 buy-ins to the Daily Eighty Grand ($50+5) among those players who are currently the best ranked players of their respective teams. Since this week's finishes were mostly by unstaked players, the prize pool has barely grown.  Its has however passed the critical $300 mark - meaning the end of the season is drawing close.
