Interview With PokerStrategy.com TV World Championship Finalist SwapShop

Heat 3 of the PokerStrategy.com TV World Championship was taken down by SwapShop of Germany. We grabbed a few words with him ahead of the final table.

PokerStrategy.com: How did it feel to win your heat?

SwapShop: It felt awesome.

Yes, I got lucky in several spots. But after reviewing the hands after the tournament my plays were still good. That made me even more happy.

PokerStrategy.com:What was the experience of playing in a TV studio like?

SwapShop: It’s totally different to a usual TV table. But since the whole crew was really nice, I enjoyed playing in the studio.

PokerStrategy.com: Did you enjoy coming to London and the PokerHeaven hospitality?

SwapShop: 100%. London is an impressive city, lots of things to discover and to experience.

Also the whole Poker Heaven staff tried their best to make our visit as good as possible.

PokerStrategy.com: Have you checked out the live ticker to see what your final table opponents will be like?

SwapShop: I followed the ticker live during the event. But I have to recheck before the final table.

PokerStrategy.com: Will your strategy be different because its a different format than the heat?

SwapShop: Yeah of course, I think everyone is playing different since the payout changes from only first being paid to 4 paid places.

PokerStrategy.com: Do you think you have a good chance at winning?

SwapShop: I think the structure will be similar to the one of the preliminary heat, meaning luck plays a huge factor. But I trust my luck.

What is the PokerStrategy.com TV World Championship?

This event is our first televised poker tournament, in partnership with PokerHeaven. It is going to be broadcast on the Poker Channel in early 2012.

Last month the Poker Channel filmed seven heats of six players, with the winner of each heat progressing to the final in December.

Waiting at the final table will be PokerStrategy.com CEO Dominik Korn Kofert, as well as a $42,000 prize pool, which includes a $20,000 first prize.

You can watch the final table as it happens on December 13 at 15:00 GMT, as we will be hosting a live stream from the studios of the Poker Channel in London.
