Interview with lessthanthreee

For those of you who still don't know our PokerStrategist, we have managed to sit down and ask the man himself some questions.

lots of "Oi" and "mate"
AdminPokerStrategy.com: Hello lessthanthreee and welcome to the PokerStrategy.com video production team! How does it feel to join this elite group that enlightens the minds of all PokerStrategists with video content?

lessthanthreee: Hi Vali, thanks for having me! It feels great to be alongside some really bright poker minds in this group. It is a great privilege to be able to produce quality content for PokerStrategy.com.

AdminPokerStrategy.com: Our readers probably know about you from the Diamond Interview, your blog or the hand evaluations that you perform in the SnG forums. They probably didn't know you have these plans in mind, so what made you choose to do videos for PokerStrategy.com?

lessthanthreee: I was encouraged to start producing videos by my fellow SnGers on PokerStrategy.com. There has been a lack of mid-high stakes SnG content for our expanding community.
I hope to contribute frequent high quality videos for those members. Also, having a lot of experience in the community helps me to deliver what our members are asking for.

Main video topic: 9-man SnGs

Jesus tattoo to help you improve
your game. Somehow.
AdminPokerStrategy.com: You're a pretty experienced SnG player and we assume you will be focusing on this game type. What kind of topics do you have in mind for your upcoming releases? What should viewers expect to learn from your videos?

lessthanthreee: Yes, I will be focussing on 9-man SnGs exclusively. I have a few topics in mind, some examples include advanced risk-aversion, getting more value out of shallow HU play, finding more value in the early stages and reg vs. reg dynamics.
I hope my viewers will learn how to extract small edges from more advanced plays, whilst always remembering the fundamentals that are taught in the lower stakes videos here at PokerStrategy.com.

AdminPokerStrategy.com: That sounds great and we're looking forward to watching your videos. Since you're also a hand judge, how are your videos going to interfere with your forum activity?

lessthanthreee: Luckily, I have a great team to help me with judging hands on the low stakes forums so I don't expect the extra responsibilities to interfere with my activity on the forums. I will still be judging and discussing hands in the forums every day.

AdminPokerStrategy.com: That's great because we don't have two lessthanthreees and it would be a shame to lose you in the Hand Judging forums. Speaking of this, a PokerStrategist starting his poker career has various methods to learn the game. How do you think newcomers should start and what are your general advices for them?

lessthanthreee: My advice would be to utilise all of the tools that PokerStrategy.com provides, because each will help you in a different way. The articles will teach you fundamentals, the videos and coaching sessions will help you place these theories into a visual context and the forums will help you to review tough spots with more experienced players. Other SnG tools that PokerStrategy.com provides are the ICM Trainer and Equilator which are essentials for every SnG grinder.

AdminPokerStrategy.com: Thank you very much for the great advices and for taking time to do this interview. Before we leave you, we want to send you a warm "Welcome to the video team!" Looking forward to seeing some Australian poker videos!

lessthanthreee: Thanks again. Looking forward to the feedback.
