The PokerStrategy.com Community is made for you and all of our members. That's why we need your help with the further development. The basic features are available with the Beta version. Now we need your suggestions and wishes. What can we improve? What should definitely be added?

As the title Beta version already implies, it is possible that bugs will appear. Therefore, we also ask you to help us find and get rid of them.

Similar to your suggestions for improvements, you can also tell us about bugs in the forum. It would be really helpful if you not only tell us what kind of bug you found, but also what browser and what OS you use.

What's the reason for the Community?

"The Community is an attempt to open up new ways for our members to communicate, which exceed the possibilities of  a forum, chats and other isolated information systems", said Tom aka tomS.

Tom is the manager of the IT department of PokerStrategy.com, and knows from his own experience: "Especially nowadays, the Internet users make demands. For them, a community means more than just a forum with private messages. So why not tap the technical possibilities? Sure, the idea behind the Community isn't new, but it is a good one."

Lutz aka Xantos, who many know from his entries in the Confidential Blog, added: "The core of PokerStrategy.com has always been the forum. However, with over one million users in 14 different languages, a forum hits a brick wall.

The German community has over 150 sub-forums and more than 5,000 posts each day. Here, the Community module comes into play. With the chat and the private messages, we have new ways to communicate, and the groups allow us to identify areas of interests and to combine them."

The 27-year old made significant contributions to the concept of the PokerStrategy.com Community. "Our members need tools with which they can contact each other, and most of all stay in touch", he said. "To write a post in the forum and hit F5 simply isn't enough anymore."

In his eyes, a social network is exactly what makes these tools available: "There are friends lists, private messages, the chat and who knows what else will follow. We cannot and do not have to re-invent the wheel", he said, "but we can build new streets for it."
