Interview with Faarcyde

PokerStrategy.com: Hello Jonathan, can you give us a brief introduction?

therealfaarcyde: Greetings from the United States of America! My real name is Jonathan
and I go by the nickname of Faarcyde online. I have been playing sit and goes since 2006 and have played over 75,000 of them lifetime. Brag or beat? You decide! Like all other uncultured gringos I only speak one language - American. Despite my language deficiency I hope you will be able to benefit from my extensive experience in the field.

PokerStrategy.com: Since when is poker part of your life and what does it mean to you?

therealfaarcyde: I've been playing poker for a long time but only became serious with
it a few years ago. I like it because it provides the freedom to operate upon my own free will and not have to come and work when I'm not feeling kosher in the morning.

PokerStrategy.com: What has been the biggest success of your carreer?

therealfaarcyde: With single table tournaments there is not much glory, but I would say
being one of the biggest winners at mid/high stakes the past two years can be considered a success. I put a lot of time into it and fortunately have been able to get a lot out of it as well.

"I'm not a math guy!"

PokerStrategy.com: Since when have you been doing videos?

therealfaarcyde: I joined Cardrunners in the middle of 2009 and have produced quite a few since then.

PokerStrategy.com: Which game types will you cover?

therealfaarcyde: I specialize in six max and full ring turbos as well as six max and full ring super turbos.

PokerStrategy.com: Which limits are you playing?

therealfaarcyde: $60, $119, and $214s on Full Tilt.

PokerStrategy.com: Was können PokerStrategen von deinen Videos erwarten?

therealfaarcyde: I always say first and foremost I am not a big academic math guy. You
won't see me going over the finer minutia of ICM calculations in my videos because it has been done ad nauseum in the past.

Frequent topics for my videos are adapting to regulars, distinguishing types of players and how that effects your push/fold response, variance, overall ICM strategy and game selection.

I look forward to seeing you guys around, hopefully you feel the same!
