PokerStrategy Elephant replaces PT/PA
As of today, our members reaching 2,000 StrategyPoints get a license for PokerStrategy Elephant, instead of PokerTracker and PokerAce.
What is Elephant?
The PokerStrategy Elephant is a beginners-friendly analysis program, which we
have developed exclusively for our members. It reads all hand history from your
poker client, whilst playing. Statistics are calculated from these hand
history's, which can then be used to further improve your game.
These statistics
aren't only available to you in the program itself, but are also displayed
around the name's of the opponents playing at your table. Elephant is an
analysis tool, which in functionality, looks a lot like PokerTracker and
PokerAce.
Why do we replace
PokerTracker for Elephant?
Many of you will wonder why we would change from the perfectly well working
PokerTracker to the not yet completed Elephant. Well, there are very good
reasons – and it's not to save money!
To summarize:
1. PokerTracker2 is no longer sold (lack of availability)
2. PokerTracker2 will not be developed any further, which could result
in poker site's no longer being supported after a software-update (uncertainty)
3. PokerTracker3 has not yet been released and we can't influence the
release date (unpredictability)
4. PokerTracker3 only supports three poker site's and thus less then
Elephant already supports (incomplete).
5. Elephant supports each partner site (complete)
6. The development of Elephant is in our hands (safety).
7. Because of this, we can guarantee that in the long term your
suggestions on that what you really need, can also be implemented (better
functionality)
The detailed version
The further development of PokerTracker2 has officially been stopped. The
original developer has sold the name PokerTracker to the programmers of
Pokertools' PokerAce. Therefore, the program is not developed any further and
it's no longer possible to buy new licenses. What this also means is that we
can't buy new licenses. Which seemed very irresponsible to us, finally, was
that there will be no more updates for PT2. This could prove to be very
necessary though, even with a small software update in one of the poker sites
their software.
The upcoming program, PokerTracker3, is still in it's early stages of
development. So far the publication of a version of PokerTracker3 -which has
been planned for 15/4- only supports three platforms. Therefor changing to
PokerTracker3 seems very unattractive to many members. This was one of the
reasons for the development of Elephant: to provide support for all our
partner sites.
The development of
PokerStrategy Elephant
Because we want to continue to
provide you with an analysis tool that covers all your needs regarding poker
software, we have developed the most beginners-friendly product there is on the
market: The PokerStrategy Elephant.
With this, we now have the opportunity to offer you a very good replacement,
which we can further develop based on your exact needs.
In the coming days we
will publish a trial version, which will start at the same time as the beta
phase of the PokerStrategy Elephants. This version is fully functional and
without any restrictions, though it has a time limit of 3 weeks. By the end of
this 3-week trial, the PokerStrategy Elephant will be offered for about $ 80,-
in our shop. Alternatively you can earn a licence for 2,000 StrategyPoints. For
everyone that reaches or reached the 2,000 points mark before the release of PokerStrategy Elephant,
a full license allso will be made available.
The transition: From Pokertracker2 to PokerStrategy Elephant
For the reasons mentioned above, we have decided to stop working together with
PokerTracker.
The consequences:
1. All members that have reached the necessary 2,000 points before
31.03.08 will still receive a PokerTracker2 license.
2. All members that pass the limit of 2,000 points on or after 01.04.08,
and have not yet received a PT-license, will get a license for the PokerStrategy Elephant, once
they reach 2,000 StrategyPoints.
3. Everyone (even those who already have received or will still receive
a PokerTracker license) will get the full version of Elephant after he/she has
earned 2,000 StrategyPoints after 01/04/2008.
The planned development of the PSElephants (next 4 weeks):
In the coming weeks, we will steadily expand the functionality of PokerStrategy
Elephant.
Firstly we want you to be able to freely position the table's statistics (HUD)
with a layout manager. Immediately after that, we want to integrate complete
SNG support.
After that we will integrate support for the fifth poker platform; Mansion Poker. In addition to
this, we are working on a functionality which automaticly recognizes your own
position and the position of your opponents at the table. This will make it
possible to provide statistics of our opponents without sitting at the table
ourselves. This is also the basis for a planned table selection add-on.
Then we want to add in our, already well-known equity analysis program,
Equilator.
The following features are planned
- Support for all our partner sites
- Table selection add-on
- ICM analysis program
- Statistics Trainer
- Make marked poker hands exportable (for feedback from other users)
- Reliability of values indicated (P-value)
- Slansky-Bucks calculation
- An improved notes system
- Creating customizable statistic queries

To a moderator..I have already reached the 2000 points mark and still havent got the license for pokertracker 2 and pokerace hud. I have sent an email last week but i didnt get any response. Can u still send me the license key for both pokertracker and pokerace hud?

So this means that if i got 2k points before 31.3.08 i will recive my PT and AceHud licence and when i gather aditional 2k points starting from 1.04.08 i will also get the Elephant licence.Is that right?

@#10: It can take up to a month (sometimes even longer) for you to receive the PT/PA liscences. This is because we have to order them first. This de-tour and long waiting should be a thing of the past once we only need to hand out Elephant liscences.#14

Is it possible to receive an elephant license instead of PT and Ace license even if you have reached 2000points before 31.3.?Is it possible to choose?
Couze I won't be playing for a while, but when I get back I would rather have the elephant than PT.

Support has replied that if you have not received PT/PA licences and if they are not sent to you, you can change to Elephant. Contact support and tell them you want to get Elephant instead of PT/PA.#20
