PokerStrategy.com: Tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in poker.

Dengalne: I'm from Sweden and I started to play home games many years ago. Online I started in 2008 with a free $50 no deposit bonus from PokerStrategy.com.

The lowest stakes back then were NL$10 so had to take some shots in the start, but after that I have built up my roll with proper bankroll management, and I have been playing $25/$50 since 2010.

PokerStrategy.com: What can we expect from your videos?

Dengalne: My experience of making videos goes back to 2009 when I started my poker video blog, where I put up videos of me playing so my poker friends could see.

It got really popular, and after one year of that I started to make videos for training sites. I have done a lot of different types of videos from heads-up to 6max.

PokerStrategy.com: What was the most important lesson you have learned in poker?

Dengalne: I think the most important is to always give your best, otherwise you wont improve faster than your opponents.

PokerStrategy.com: A lot of players struggle around the $50NL-$200NL stakes - what skills do you need to break out of these limits?

Dengalne: I think at NL200$+ you can make a good living so a lot of people will try it and the competition will become much tougher there. This will mean that most of the players know the "solid ABC style", so to be able to play there and beat the games you have to take your game to another level and play more creative to put your opponents in difficult spots they are not used to in their regular mass table grind.

Also, plug your leaks that were not a big issue on the lower stakes where people didn't abuse you, and your edge was so big anyway you didn't really have to pay attention to them.

PokerStrategy.com: What do you personally get out of coaching videos? Do they help your game at all?

Dengalne: By coaching others, I think about the game much more, and I think it has improved my poker game and results. It's always good to rethink why I am doing certain moves and also going back to the basics.

PokerStrategy.com: What is your poker goal for 2012?

Dengalne: Play my best and always improve. That´s how you stay EV positive in the long run.

PokerStrategy.com: We look forward to seeing your videos, and thank you for your time!

We are pleased to announce that Dengalne's first video for Gold members will be available tomorrow. In it, Dengalne will be discussing how to adjust to 3bet ranges dynamically, which includes showing us his impressive HUD layout.
