Team SoyCD With Dominant Victory

This week Team SoyCD stepped on the gas as it broke the records for best team average finish, and most players per team ITM.

The previous record for best team average finish of 5,452 (established by SoyCD, Velak, Termi8r, Vesolc and Cardbender420 in BOD#4) was shattered yesterday when Team SoyCD broke yet another record and finished with 4 people ITM. SoyCD was, in fact, the only player on his team not to make it into the money - and dragged down the average with his 8,698th placement. Regardless of this, the team managed to finish with an impressive average finish of 3,355. Although none of them managed to reach the deeper prize levels, cannell555 being the last to bust in 1,672th place, the team won a total of $86,10 dollars and had an average of 2,019 among the four of them.

An early badbeat in which TribunCeasar lost a pre-flop all-in with KK versus KQ put his team in a bad position from the get go. Not able to recover from the early loss, the team had to settle for a 15,655 average finish. Donkeys Unleashed did not far much better having lost swissmoumout in 13,478th place and had to settle for a 13,265 average finish. It was therefore Team SoyCD which won by a landslide in all competitions. The closest competition came from the community team which did an extremely good job this week with an average of 7,355 and 4 players ITM.

In terms of overall standings, the overall leadership is still firmly in the hands of Team SoyCD. SoyCD was also able to use TribunCaesars unlucky elimination to pull ahead in terms of best admin average finish and is now leading across the board.
After the bubble broke, and the smoke had cleared, it was once again the community team which had the last 3 players remaining. After urmo1, sharkysmurf, independente, and cannell555 from Team SoyCD hit the rails in ranks 2,342 / 2,304 / 1,761 and 1,672 respectively while the community team was still running strong.

Contending were first time BOD contender Karel0050, Njord41 who had already cashed in 2 of his previous 3 battle of the donkeys, and rhinoneil whose tournament exploits can be read about in his excellent blog about the Ladbrokes Poker Million.

Karel0050 would be the first to bust in 1,421th place leaving the two gold members pressing on. While both players had decent chips stacks to work with, it would be rhinoneil who first managed to double up with TT and KJ - putting him 250th in chips out of the remaining field of 750. Sadly for Njord41 he was not as lucky and lost with KQs in the blind battle ending his spurt as 709th out of over 20,000.

The next 200 players busted without any hands for rhinoneil - but the blinds continuing to rise rapidly. With less than 10 BB he found AQo in middle position and pushed all-in. Behind him the loose cutoff repushed and flipped over QJs. Although this bad call was optimal for rhinoneil, the KJJ flop wasn't. No ten showed up by the river and the tournament ended unlucky with rhinoneil taking home 499th place.
As always, the top 8 finishers from the community qualify for the next week's admin teams. That means all players from Team SoyCD ( independente, urmo1, SharkySmurf, and cannell555) are qualified again - along with rhinoneil, Njord41, karel0050 and Chiller3k.
