1. [GUIDE] Essential reading for new players

Brilliant ideas pop up in people's heads on a daily basis across the world and this week, PokerStrategist conall88 came up with a brilliant idea of his own.

He decided to open a thread which would serve the purpose of gathering useful resources which would help beginners in improving their game and moving up through the limits faster.

As such, the thread already has links to some useful poker software, charts and a very long and in-depth compilation of Verneer's thoughts, a successful poker player. If you wish to add some of your own tips, guides or anything that would be of help to poker beginners, feel free to do so in conall88's thread:

2. General questions on FL

After trying all variants of poker, konkey concluded Fixed Limit Hold'em was the way to go for him. He prepared himself for the FL action by reading through some articles and now, after his first successful session, he is left with numerous new questions boggling his mind.

If you are new to FL Hold'em yourself, you may find his thread interesting, as he posed several questions to the community, such as what BRM he should follow, what differences he can expect between the limits and where the games are most fishy.
