I disagree with pokerstrategy desision to add beginner PLO content. The biggest leak of beginer poker players is how they handle varience, and they fact that they tilt. PLO is a super swingy game so I dont think people who just got the starting capital should learn PLO. Not to mentoin that PLO is significantly harder to learn compared to NLHE.#2

i5bet72o, if there was no beginner PLO content, anyone who was looking exclusively for PLO content would just choose another training site. Besides, I believe both the training and the videos make it very clear that the variance can be brutal and that proper BRM is key.#3

#2: most beginer poker players use pokerstrategy.com because of the starting capital offer. They watch the videos on ps because they are free. Generally they wont know the difference between NLHE and PLO, and just think "hm there is a PLO video, 4 cards, sounds interesting lets watch it"#4

@#3 As long as the higher variance of PLO is made clear I don't see anything wrong with that. All members are adults and can make their own decisions. Besides, just because someone gets the free starting capital, doesn't mean they are beginners at poker.#5

#4: Ya usually it does. Any live reg/pro will be willing to deposit $100 if they want to try out online poker. Non regular poker playing adults do not truely understand varience. They will tilt more in PLO and if PLO becomes popular with users of the starting capital, the number of people who are long term users on pokerstrategy.com will definatly go down..
