Top 250 June: Cakara Still Leading

The third week of our Top 250 and Top Ten Jackpot promotion has ended and Cakara doesn't seem to be slowing down, as he is still dominating our community rankings.

Three weeks of our Top 250 and Top Ten Jackpot promotion have passed, and we are getting close to the final results.

As you may already know, the Top Ten Jackpot promotion addresses the best 10 players from each community, as they are racing for $1,750 and the Jackpot built by all communities over a period of 3 months, from May to July.

Cakara continued his domination this week as well, as he managed to accumulate 22,701 StrategyPoints, thus securing his leader position in our community rankings and 55th in the overall rankings.

Ranked second is

TerrorBlade, who jumped two spots since last week after accumulating 13,362 StrategyPoints - a significant difference compared to our leader at the moment, but it seems like the battle is held for the second place.

smidlo took a step back this week, going to the third place, as he now has 13,619 StrategyPoints - just 41 points less than

TerrorBlade.

Notable is also the fact that the two Slovak players who dominated our rankings last month are still in the top 10:

opal99 is ranked 6th with 11,373 points, while

TheLastNail is 10th and has 9,034 points.

Between the 1st and the 31st of June 2009, our English community members will have the opportunity to show their skills and be rewarded with up to $500. The ten PokerStrategists who have accumulated the most points by the end of that period will get their share of the $1,750 prize pool.

TOP250 Promotion: overall ranking

Looking at the overall rankings, we notice that the first two places have been untouched since last week, as

Caber is still ranked first and has 93,412 StrategyPoints.

stronghawk is still the runner-up, having 55,779 StrategyPoints.

Ranked third is a previous Top 250 winner,

F3rt, who went up one spot in the previous week. He has accumulated a total of 51,137 StrategyPoints so far in June.

It is interesting to notice that both our community's and the overall rankings have strong leaders which are quite ahead in terms of points compared to their runner-ups. It will be nice to see if June is the month where these two players lead the rankings with an iron fist.

Top ten jackpot Promotion: the prize pool

In June, the best 10 PokerStrategists from our community will play to get a share of the $1,750 prize pool.

In case one of our community members has managed to be both amongst the best 250 players of the TOP250 promotion and the Top Ten Jackpot promotion, he or she will receive the higher prize of the two. The lower prize will go into our international jackpot.

Below you can see the detailed payout structure for the Top Ten prize pool:

The TOP Ten Jackpot Promotion will take place in all of our 14 communities and will be repeated also in June and July. The money which has gone into the jackpot in May, June and July will then be divided among the winners. The more players manage to finish within both the TOP 10 of their respective community and the overall TOP 250, the bigger the international jackpot will be.

Example: At the end of our Top Ten Jackpot promotion in March the jackpot was $6,800. If this amount will be collected as well in the months of May, June and July, the overall jackpot would be an astonishing $20,400!

After the end of the promotion we will have a lottery. Every member who has collected at least 3,000 StrategyPoints during one month qualifies for lottery tickets, no matter if he is in one of our TOP promotions or not.

Members who collect at least 3,000 StrategyPoints during one month will get one lottery ticket each, while members who collect at least 7,500 StrategyPoints during one month will get two lottery tickets each. Thereby, you will simultaneously reach the Platinum or Diamond status respectively.

Example: If you collect 3,000 SP in May, 7500 SP in June and 3000 SP in July you will get a total of 4 tickets for the lottery.

5 of the lottery ticket holders will get their share of the jackpot: 30% will go to number 1, 25% to number 2, 20% to number 3, 15% to number 4 and the remaining 10% to number 5.

Information about the top 250 Ranking Updates

Due to problems on the side of the of the poker platforms there are sometimes be delays or gaps in our TOP 250 ranking updates. We always try to acquire the missing data as quickly as possible and will also make you aware of where the current gaps are.

In this case, the updates are as of 22.06.2009 and delayed are: Ladbrokes, (as of 21.06) and PokerStars (as of 20.06). There are currently some minor problems regarding bwin point update system but that will, of course, be solved by the end of this month's final rankings.

2009: $100,000 Promotion bonuses each month!

In this year as well, we will distribute at least $1,200,000 in bonuses within the TOP250 promotion alone. The top finisher of this month will, as usual, receive a $10,000 bonus. We wish all of our community members good luck and a successful June!
