25 Players Left in the WSOPE ME: Moorman, Buchanan, and Antonius Looking Strong

Chris Moorman, Shawn Buchanan, and Patrik Antonius are in the top half of the 25 players left in the WSOPE Main Event. Alexander Dovzhenko, Jake Cody, Erik Seidel, and Tony G are still alive as well.

Day 3 of the €10,400 WSOPE Main Event is over, and the tension at each table has begun to rise.

Each of the 25 players remaining in the field has already earned at least €32,000, but they know they're just 3 tables away from the massive €1,400,000 first place prize and their spot in the record books.

The current chip leader in the event is Max Silver, with 1,780,000 chips. Right behind him in second place is online poker legend Chris 'Moorman1' Moorman with 1,769,000. Moorman has won $1.3 million in live tournaments so live success is nothing new to him, but his online results add up to a ridiculous $7.4 million.

4th place Shawn Buchanan continues to be a thorn in the side of Ben Lamb, who needs Buchanan not to finish in the top 2 spots to clinch WSOP Player of the Year.

The most well-known players who still have chips include Patrik Antonius (12th), Jake Cody (16th), Erik Seidel (20th), and Tony G (22nd). Tony has a long day for himself today, as he will be playing the Caesar's Cup and then continuing with the Main Event.

Perhaps the most noteworthy bustout of the day was Day 2 chip leader Constant Rijkenberg, who busted in 49th place for €21,475- fractionally better than the minimum cash. Considering the mountain of chips he began with on Day 3, he must be sorely disappointed.

The money bubble burst at 64 players, and you can check the table below to see who cashed. The three female poker pros who made Day 3, Liv Boeree, Maria Ho, and Melanie Weisner, all busted in the money. Although they won't enter Day 4, that won't stop us from including their pictures at the bottom of this page.

25 players will return today for Day 4, which will begin at 14:00 CET. The Caesar's Cup will begin at 12:00 CET. Both will be available via a live stream at WSOP.com.
