The Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius started November with an impressive set of winnings, cashing in more than $1.5 million in 2 days.

Patrik AntoniusPatrik Antonius managed to start this month better than ever, as he won over $1.5 million in two days on Full Tilt Poker.

Some of the larger pots were against durrr and Guy Laliberté aka lady marmelade.  Against durrr he won a $190,098 pot in a pre-flop all-in with AA vs 99, while against Lady marmelade his pocket aces held up against K9 of the Cirque du Soleil owner for a pot of $218,953.

FTPThe arguably most interesting hand was also his new personal record in terms of pot size: on a rainbow flop of 3-5-8, Antonius was once more up against his countryman Sami Kelopuro aka LarsLuzak. Holding pocket eights, Antonius was a definite favourite with his top set. He therefore only called the flop and turn (which was an Ace) bets of LarsLuzak, waiting until the 8 on the river to push the other player all-in.  Little did he know that the fourth eight on the river had just graced him with a miraculous suck-out - as LarsLuzak claimed to hold AA, and therefore held the nut full house.

If this is true, it was certainly a very expensive 1-outer, as the $606,177 pot went to Patrik Antonius. Considering Patrik Antonius was one of October's biggest losers (he was down by about $1.7 million), this was definitely a welcomed start into November for him.
