Daily Rewind - PCA High Roller Result, Finger Cashes at PCA, Greenstein Talks

In today's Daily Rewind we check out the final happenings at the PCA and see how PokerStrategy memember Martin "0piggybank" Finger got on in the $5K HU event. We also see what Barry Greenstein has to say about tournament strategy, get a view from Joe Hachem's charity tournament and enjoy another Daily Signoff.

Bilokur Binks PCA High Roller

The PCA came to a fitting conclusion yesterday with a $25K High Roller event fit for a poker king. As expected the line-up was first class: PokerStrategy.com video producer Randy "diamondnanonokoPS" Lew, Isaac Haxton, Jason Koon and PokerStars pro Jonathan Duhamel were all in attendance.

Indeed, it was the latter who was pushing for another PCA crown after the action left him and Ukrainian player Alex Bilokur within touching distance of the $1,134,930 prize. The encounter became a veritable war of attrition with Bilokur finally stopping the Duhamel Express to lift his first trophy.

Although disappointed, Duhamel can now look back on a fantastic PCA. A win in the $5K event was flanked by a series of deep runs, all of which combined to earn him a sensational $1,205,370.

PokerStrategist Martin Finger Goes Deep

PokerStrategy.com community member Martin 0piggybank Finger has added another $26,070 to his bankroll after finishing joint 3rd in the PCA $5,000 Heads-Up event.

The rising German star has already proven his pedigree by taking down EPT Prague for $964,023 and he went some way to enhancing that reputation at the PCA.

A total of 43 players entered the event, creating a prizepool of $208,550, and Martin managed to carve his way through some world class talent to finish on a par with WCOOP Champion Thomas “Kallllle” Pedersen.

Success for Hachem’s Charity

With the frivolities winding down in the Caribbean the attention of the poker world is now shifting to the other side of the world and the Aussie Millions.

With the might of the poker world already in attendance – or currently making their way to the Crown Casino – it was the perfect time for Australian poker celebrity Joe Hachem to host his annual charity tournament. With the help of cricket legend Shane Warne, Hachem’s tournament went off with a bang as his Twitter picture testifies to.

Indeed, with the likes of Annette Obrestad, Hachem and Warne all making the final table and a huge amount of money being raised for charity, it certainly seems the event was a triumph.

Losing a large chunk of change yesterday was Kanu7”. The British player lost $319,721 at the virtual felt, just ahead of “Isildur1” who dropped $203,613.

The Daily Signoff

Reaching 10,000 Tweets is an achievement by anyone’s standards and usually marked with a thought provoking quip.

Unfortunately for Daniel Negreanu that milestone was scuppered by good friend Jennifer Harman who stopped him writing something which was no doubt provocative.

Instead of some antagonistic messgae, his fans were treated to a huge anticlimax. He did make up for it in his 10,001st tweet, though.
