After the Goldrush
2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold has endured some fairly negative press since his infamous $12,000,000 win at the WSOP.A few fleeting cameos on High Stakes Poker and a handful of unimpressive tournament appearances have been the most we've seen from Gold, but this week he's back with a bang in Vegas.
The Tropicana opened the Jamie Gold Poker Room on Friday, and Gold was there to celebrate the opening by taking part in the afternoon $500 freezeout.
It remains to be seen how much of an impact he will have on the Tropicana's poker economy, but Jamie Gold is most certainly back in the poker world for now.
