Gus cleaning up in Macau
Reports coming in this week indicate that Gus Hansen's last minute detour to Macau on his way to the Aussie Millions was possibly one of the best decisions of his career. The wily Dane blogged about his experience over at the Starworld Macau Poker King Club this week, claiming to have played some mammoth sessions with "plenty of big hands."
The hands he played must have been enormous, because he's now on his way to Melbourne with an extra $3.8 million USD in his pocket, making him the big winner in a huge game.

Rubin pleads guilty: faces jail term
Ira Rubin yesterday pleaded guilty to conspiracy in the Manhattan Federal Court.Rubin was accused of helping offshore poker companies process billions of dollars of revenue, disguising the transactions by creating phony businesses.
Prosecutors allege that Rubin created a number of fake companies including a golf store and an electronics retailer to mask the transactions following the implementation of the UIGEA in 2006.
Rubin is accused of helping PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker process payments from their US customers and has been charged with nine counts, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud and wire fraud.
He pleaded guilty to three counts and faces a jail term of 18 to 24 months, having been jailed since his arrest in April 2011.
Chip dumpers busted at Aussie Millions
While Brendan Rubie may be celebrating his win in the opening event of the 2012 Aussie Millions, two players from said tournament will be ruing what was a fairly stupid decision.Crown Poker officials noticed that a player who had already been eliminated from day one was soon after seen with a fresh pile of chips on another table.
It transpired that the player in question had been given a stack of chips from his friend who had also been playing the tournament but had to leave for other commitments.
When his table broke, he handed his seat card and chips over to the busted player who carried on as if it was his own stack.
Both players were immediately disqualified and banned from playing poker at the Crown Casino for an unconfirmed period of time.

What a hand! Not that incredible statiscally though, around 1 in 250 that happens. Noticed that there's $250k in that pot and that that doesn't mean that much to those players:).#11

Quite a ridiculous little run from Robl, especially since his equity has dropped to 20%~ by the fourth turn/river.I love Phil Laak at the end: "How did you DO that?!"
WTF Robl was thinking getting it in there I do not know.
