The Caribbean Poker Classic Tour came to an end this weekend, when David R. Lloyd took down 113 player and cashed in $91,200 by eventually defeating Sol Bergren in the heads-up.

Caribbean Poker ClassicThe fifth annual Caribbean Poker Classic took place from the 16th until the 23rd of November and 114 players joined the event for a shot at almost $100,000 representing the grand prize.

Unlike previous years, the CPC was actually held on a cruise ship instead of the St. Kitts Resort & Royal Beach Casino Marriott. Another significant change was the fact that the buy-in went down from $6,000 to $2,700. Because of this, the prize pool was only $276,450, which is lower than in previous editions.

David Lloyd entered the final table as second in chips, right after Mark Phillips. However, it only took a few levels and Phillips busted in the fourth position, mainly because of Lloyd.

Eventually, Lloyd reached the heads-up phase of the event, where he went up against Sol Bergren. It didn't take long for Lloyd to give Bergren the final blow:
Bergren went all-in preflop with A-4, and Lloyd called with Q-5. When the flop showed T-7-6, Bergren was ahead, just like when the turn revealed a K. However, the river brought a Q, and Lloyd took home the first place of $91,200.
