EPT Budapest: Albert Iversen Chip Leader
The Dane Albert Iversen placed himself on top of the chip count on Day 2 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Budapest.
Yesterday, 182 players started into Day 2 of the EPT Budapest in the Las Vegas Casino. At the end of the day, only 42 of them remained, and today they will battle it out for a seat at the final table.
Obrestad and Luca Pagano at the Rails
Chip leader after Day 1 was the Italian Mauro Corsetti who finished the day in the midfield. His closest pursuer, the Norwegian Annette
Obrestad, was not so lucky. She was already eliminated before reaching the money ranks by the Austrian Ivo Donev. On the flop of J-7-9, she went all-in with 9-7, only to be called by Donev who held J-8. The turn gave Donev an 8 and thus the higher two pairs. Luca Pagano (picture on the left) also dropped out before reaching the money.Flopped Royal Flush

Maddyhh and Mizzi dropped out ITM
The Canadian prodigy Sorel Mizzi (picture on the left) had to clear his seat as well yesterday. At first, it still looked really well for Mizzi who even took over the chip lead after the first level of the day. However, similar to our community member 'Maddyhh', he was also eliminated shortly before the end of the day when he ran into pocket tens for Denis Volkov while holding pocket fours himself.Casey Kastle still in the Race
On the other hand, the US American Casey Kastle prevailed so far and successfully finished the day with 264,000 chips, which place him on rank 4 of the chip count. Kastle has already celebrated countless successes in his career, but so far he was never able to win a major title. Recently, he saw a WSOP bracelet slip from his fingers when he finished as the runner-up behind Martin Kläser in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event.Only one Team PokerStars Pro left
Several Team PokerStars Pro players had entered the event, but only one of them made it into Day 3. The Russian Alexander Kravchenko will start the day with 114,500 chips, which places him right behind Mauro Corsetti in the chip count.Frenchman Brice Cournut, winner of the European Poker Masters Paris Hold'em Trophy 2006, has also survived the first two days and will return with 63,000 chips today.
Severin Walser from Switzerland is another famous name in the list of participants for Day 3, however his options are severely limited as he only has 33,000 chips left and is thus second to last.
