EPT San Remo Begins on Friday

The PokerStars European Poker Tour will begin on October 21st in San Remo. Keep reading to find out more about the tournament and its location.

The Casino San Remo

The PokerStars European Poker Tour's next stop is San Remo, Italy. The EPT San Remo Main Event is a €4,600 + €300 buy-in which should receive a sizable field.

The event will take place at the Casino San Remo from October 21st through October 27th. In addition to the Main Event, several smaller side events and a €10,300 single reload 8-max tournament will take place.

In Season 7, EPT San Remo drew 988 players, and Rupert Elder won €930,000 for taking first place. The previous year, Liv Boeree won the event and pocketed €1,250,000. Jason Mercier took the trophy in 2008, along with €869,000 in cash.

Team PokerStrategy.com member Thorsten77 won the Season 7 High Roller event for €220,000, and hopefully PokerStrategists will achieve similar success in Italy this year as well.

We couldn't possibly exclude Liv Boeree from a set of pictures focused on San Remo- her biggest tournament win was at this event, after all... but maybe we just like the picture.
