EPT Vilamoura: Day 2 - PokerNoob in 11th Place
Six PokerStrategists in total came into action on Day 2. At the end of this day, three still remained and they are getting close to the money.
177 players were dealt cards at the start of Day 2. When the day
finished only 69 players were invited to come back the next day. They
will be playing for a first prize of €404,793.
The average chip count with 69 players remaining, is 136,000. Blinds
will start on Day 3 at 1,500/3,000 with an ante of 300. The play will
continue on day 3 until only 24 players are standing. The bubble will
burst when there are only 48 players left.
For Team PokerStrategy.com two players are still in the race.
PokerNoob who did a great job of accumulating large amounts of chips, went from 19,500 all the way up to an impressive 229,000.
Allanon didn't share PokerNoob's great day, but is still very much present with 86,800.
PokerStrategist
Vedevas went from 60,000 to
95,700 and will join the Team PokerStrategy.com players on Day 3.

PokerNoob's
first day went very slow. No monsters or big hands for him throughout
the day. The result was that he started on Day 2 with 19,500 - which
was less than the 30,000 everyone started with.On Day 2, PokerNoob was on fire. He shoved twice early with Stefan Mattsson opening the action and got a fold out of him. Shortly after, he got it in with pocket Queens vs Ace Jack and doubled up to 60,000.
The highlight of the day came near the end when he made a nice call down with just bottom pair against complete air.

Allanon - Tough Day

At the end of the day he was sitting at the table with Antony Lellouche, who had over half a million, on his right and Jason Mercier on his left. Antony was playing loose and aggressive and forced Allanon to tighten up his play a lot.
Apart from Allanon trying to get villain off his middle-pair on the river by making a half-pot bluff after villain donked, nothing too interesting happened. Allanon ended the day at 86,800, which puts him around 40th place in the field.
Other PokerStrategists
The other PokerStrategy players didn't do so well today. Four of them started on Day 2 and only one of them managed to survive. First one to go was
boku who busted out on the first level
after starting the day really short.
Ace0ntheriver started the day with 23,000 and was
never really able to build up his stack. He grinded the shortstack for
hours and hours and was only able to go up to 33,000. He managed to
pick up queens once, but villain decided to 3-bet and then fold to him
while getting more then two-to-one on the call. Dominik eventually
shoved Q7s on the button with 20 big blinds left and got called by the big blind holding AJo. With no Q or 7 on the board he was sent to the rails.
ABI0SEX who is best known for his deep run in the
WSOP Main Event this year was a Day 1b survivor. He also couldn't
manage to build up a stack. He busted out during the 12th blind level.Which leaves us with
Vedevas. He started the day
with 60,000 and managed to win only a few chips in the first levels.
After that he built up his stack to 120,000. He had a very hard time
getting through the last levels of the day. He couldn't do anything
with AJo and KQo because there was too much action going on and he was forced to fold his AK after a very nasty board development. In the end he finished Day 2 with 95,700 in chips going into Day 3 with 32 big blinds.
lechuckpoker and
Terraner86 made it to Day 2 of the €1,000 side
event. The first one mentioned busted shortly before the final table
and
Terraner86 finished in 6th place taking home
a few thousand dollars.| Top 10 Chip Count Day 2 Main Event, Vilamoura |
