ESPN Inside Deal with Victor Ramdin

This week's featured guest in the ESPN's Inside Deal was Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin. Amongst other things, he shared his thoughts on Scotty Nguyen's behaviour in last year's H.O.R.S.E. Championship event.

ESPN Inside DealESPN's Inside Deal welcomed Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin this week. After the usual intro with the latest news from the poker world, Ramdin joined the show and talked about his coming to the United States in 1989, as well as his poker career and charity work he never seems to neglect.

Ramdin commented his charitable efforts: "When it comes to charity, I'm all pumped up. I have more energy for charity than I do for poker." However, besides being known in the world of charity, Ramdin is also a very successful poker player. As such, the discussion inevitably moved to the "Hall of Shame" subject and Ramdin's first choice was Scotty Nguyen.

"Hidden Gem" in Bahamas

Scotty Nguyen Nguyen (pictured right) claimed the 2008 WSOP H.O.R.S.E. title but not in the manner one would expect from the "prince of poker". Nguyen was allegedly drunk during his heads-up match and later apologized for that. Ramdin commented:

"He's a world-class player, but he should be setting a better example. I really hated what he did."

Ramdin also revealed that the PokerStars Carribean Adventure is his favourite "hidden gem" of the poker tournament scene, held each January in Bahamas. There were several more interesting details revealed from Ramdin's life, such as the weight loss bet.

This week's show also saw Adam "Roothlus" Levy calling in to discuss his 2008 WSOP Main Event clash with Phil Hellmuth but also the lifestyle of online poker players and other topics.
