The league's schedule currently consists of five tournaments, and each is expected to be televised. Until now, the poker world had no idea who would be eligible to play.
Players who meet all of the qualifications on any of the four lists of criteria receive a membership card good for a specified amount of time. 2, 3, and 5 year memberships are available. All members are eligible to participate in FS+G league tournaments.
The criteria
There are four types of membership available in the league, and each is acquired through different means:5-Year Card
- $4.0 million+ in adjusted lifetime earnings, with a cap of $2.0 million on your largest win
- 3+ major titles
- 9+ cashes since January 1, 2008, for a total of $600,000+ won
3-Year card
- $2.5 million+ in adjusted lifetime earnings, with a cap of $1.5 million on your largest win
- 1+ major title
- 9+ cashes since January 1, 2008, for a total of $500,000+ won
2-Year Card Category A
- $2.0 million+ in adjusted lifetime earnings, with a cap of $1.0 million on your largest win
- 1+ major title
- 6+ cashes since January 1, 2008, for a total of $300,000+ won
2-Year Card Category B
Only open events with a buy-in of $1,500 or greater that were announced ahead of time and had at least 21 players qualify towards the above criteria.
Several high profile players didn't qualify, including Phil Laak, Joe Cada, Liv Boeree, Phil Galfond, Dan Harrington, and T.J. Cloutier. If any players who aren't currently eligible for membership become eligible by August 1st, they will be added to the season 1 roster at that point. Players who didn't make the cut can still win a seat in certain "Pro-Am" events where satellites will run to let non-members play.
Annie Duke, the league's commissioner, qualified for a 2-Year Category A membership. However, due to her position she has declined her card and will not participate in any league events.

How convenient she excludes herself from tournaments which will have way tougher fields then the average. And will be full of some of the best poker players in the world ;)Pretty funny how Daniel Negreanu who's one of the biggest lifetime tournament winners is excluded.. I'd laugh my ass off if Doyle was excluded.. They need a legend card for him ;)
