Full Tilt Poker has decided to start a Fantasy Poker League for the 2008 WSOP and the top prize is a seat at the 2009 WSOP!
By now, most people are used to seeing and hearing about fantasy sports leagues. There are thousands of leagues that exist for sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, football, and hockey. Fantasy poker, on the other hand, is pretty much nonexistent.
But Full Tilt Poker seeks to change all of this with their new Fantasy Poker League which lets people pick their own roster of players for the 2008 WSOP, free of charge. And the best part about the Full Tilt Fantasy Poker League is that prizes will be awarded to outstanding participants, with the best prize being a seat at the 2009 WSOP.
For those who would really like a crack at winning that WSOP seat, while having some fun in the process, playing in this league is easy. All one needs to do is enter "My Promotions" at the Full Tilt cashier page, and the Fantasy Poker League will be there.
Once at the Fantasy Poker League, one can signup and create one's own 15 player team out of an available list of more than 300 pro players. The breakdown for the team is five A players who deliver triple Fantasy Dollars, five B players who are worth double Fantasy Dollars, and five C players who are even money.
It's a lot like the fantasy sports leagues except it's geared towards poker. There's even a feature to change the lineup before an event starts which mirrors how fantasy sports players can change their lineups before game time.
Standings are offered too, so fantasy players can check how they're doing with regards to winning that WSOP seat and other prizes.
