Hellmuth and Elky Selected for Caesars Cup
Phil Hellmuth and Betrand 'ElkY' Grospellier have been selected to represent their respective continents for the inaugural Caesars Cup in London next month.
Four new poker superstars have been added to the teams that will face off in the WSOPE Caesars Cup. This America vs. Europe match modelled after golf's Ryder Cup is scheduled to happen during the WSOP Europe in London next month.
Daniel Negreanu who captains Team Americas selected 11 time WSOP bracelet winner Phil "Caesar" Hellmuth and 2008 WSOPE Main Event champ John Juanda as the two latest additions to his team. Hellmuth and Juanda will join Phil Ivey who was announced as Negreanu's first pick last month.
WPT Season VII Player of The Year Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and WSOP bracelet winner Dario Minieri will be the two new members for Team Europe. Team captain Anette Obrestad selected the duo to compete alongside 2008 WSOP Main Event champ Peter Eastgate.
Come 26th September, the teams will battle it out for cross Atlantic bragging rights. With these latest additions, four more players will have to be added to each team before the team rosters are complete. One seat on Team Europe will be open for the winner of a leaderboard race on Betfair Poker.
