High Stakes March Ranking: durrrr Takes The #1 Spot

Tom "durrrr" Dwan cut through the opposition in March and came on top of the rankings with over $1.5 million profit. Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey are keeping him company at the top, while the losers list is led by Ziigmund and Urindanger who went down by roughly $1.6 million.

High Stakes Poker March went by in a furious pace where every day millions went from one pair of hands to the other. In the end, Tom "durrrr" Dwan came on top of everyone else with nearly $1.6 million profit.

Gus Hansen had his share of ups and downs throughout March, but in the end came out victorious, finding himself amongst the top 10 right next to Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey. Meanwhile, Ziigmund and Urindanger both managed to record a not to be proud of downfall which puts them in the lead on the losers list.

durrrr ends march with a dominant lead

The durrrr Challenge between Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Antonius (pictured right) saw some action in March, but due to both players paying more attention to the games at the other tables, they managed to climb to the top 10 of the winners list.

Dwan survived the perils of Mixed HA and PLO HU, where millions flew from one side of the table to the other on daily basis, eventually ending March with a $1,595,706.07 profit across 25,761 hands in 351 sessions.

The following two spots went to luckexpress10 and Patrik Antonius, both earning slightly over $1 million. Antonius played 20,340 hands in 327 sessions, which was enough to put him one spot ahead of the Great Dane, Gus Hansen.

Hansen was again one of the most active players of the month, playing 33,462 hands across 567 sessions. He ended March just below $1 million mark, with most of his profit coming from PLO.

Another player who did well in PLO was Phil Ivey (pictured left), as he ended March on top of the winners chart there, but in overall ended the month just below Hansen with a $977,795.63 profit.

ziigmund's money burns away

The loser of the month title goes to Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies (pictured right). He went down in a devilish manner, losing $1,666,799.77 across 17,063 hands in 354 sessions.

Urindanger didn't let Ziigmund stand alone at the bottom, as he recorded a $1,593,195.11 loss for March. He had already lost nearly $1 million in January, then bounced up by almost half a million profit in February and now with March going against him, Urindanger is probably not enjoying 2009 much.

LarsLuzak recorded a modest loss compared to the top two losers of the month, going down by $607,896.50 across 24,639 hands in 417 sessions. Another notable name on the losers list is trex313. He was on top of the February rankings, but now found himself at the bottom, amongst the top 10 losers.

The majority of his losses came from PLO, where he recorded an almost $1 million loss, ending second on that losers list right behind Ziigmund who lost just over $1 million there.
