International Field in Italy for the EPT San Remo: Both Starting Days Complete

Day 1b of the PokerStars EPT San Remo is in the books, and between both starting days players from 50 countries turned up to play. Brandon Cantu, Vanessa Selbst, and Shaun Deeb are a few of the players with comfortable stacks from Day 1b.

An impressive 478 players turned up for Day 1b of the PokerStars EPT San Remo, bringing the total number of entrants in this tournament to 837. Each of them paid €4,900 to enter, and the total prize pool is €3,734,694.

128 players will make the money, but just 1 will earn the €800,000 top prize.

The Day 1b chip leader was Taylor Paur, who reached the final table of the €3,000 NLHE Shootout at the WSOPE less than two weeks ago. Paur will begin Day 2 in first place with 188,200 chips.

Two of the top ten stacks belong to American poker pros Brandon Cantu and Vanessa Selbst. Cantu is in 2nd place with 180,000 chips, and Selbst sits in 4th with 164,200 chips. Although each of them have millions in career earnings, neither has won an EPT title.

A few other players who finished Day 1b in the top 50 places are Shaun Deeb (13th), Johnny Lodden (20th), Liv Boeree (24th), and newly crowned WSOPE Main Event champion Elio Fox (41st).
