Ivey #1 on All Time Money List
After finishing second in the Aussie Millions $100k Challenge, Phil Ivey has eclipsed Daniel Negreanu to take top spot on the all-time tournament winnings table.
Ivey (pictured right), who most consider to be the best all-round poker player on the planet, has finally achieved his long time ambition of topping poker's all-time money list.
Ivey finished second behind Dan Shak in the recently concluded Aussie Millions $100k Challenge, to add another AUD 600,000 ($544,219) to his career winnings which now stand at $12,804,433. This puts him just ahead of Daniel Negreanu ($12,432,367), who only moved into first place last September after finishing second in the 2009 WSOP Europe Main Event.
Ivey, who burst into the tournament poker scene in 2000 after winning his first WSOP bracelet, has been one of the most consistent performers in the circuit. Since 2002, he has earned more than $1 million every year but one, to ensure his steady progress up the money list.
Other than his achievements in tournaments, Ivey has also been a big winner in online and live cash games. He has won $15 million online in the last 3 years alone and what must be millions more in the high stakes live games.

Besides the 12 mil that Gold won at the WSOP in 2007, he hasn't earned much, so don't think that if he's 3-rd, hes any good :D#8

think Jamie Gold will take back the number 1 spot soon. He is just $600k behind and long overdue for a big score.NOT!
