LAPT: Alexandre Gomes Final Table Chip Leader

The eight final table participants of the 'PokerStars.com Latin American Poker Tour' (LAPT) in Punta del Este have been determined. Chip leader is the Brazilian Alexandre Gomes.
Since his bracelet win in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event of this year's WSOP - actually his first major cash for now - Alexandre Gomes has been a real poker legend in South America. With his performance at the 'LAPT Punta del Este' he now ecstacized a whole continent. He will return to to the final table as chip leader and thus has the best chances for his second major win.
But until then it's still a long way. Seven players will try to challenge him for the title. Amongst them is also the Costa Rican Alex Brenes. Already at the 'LAPT Rio de Janeiro'
in May this year, Alex Brenes reached the final table. Back then he had to join the rails on rank 4. He as well will return to the final table with high ambitions.
From the other six finalists, only the Spaniard José
Miguel Espinar has a major cash to show, Rank 44 in the 'EPT Caribbean
Adventure'. This doesn't have to mean much though, because after all, Alexandre Gomes
was also a dark horse in the poker world until his WSOP win.
The German participants did not perform so well at the tournament. None of the seven participants were able to cash.
