NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship Announces 6th Season Participants

The 64 participants for the National Heads-Up Poker Championship have just been announced. The event will take place between the 5th and 7th of March, and the prize pool will be $1.5 million.

NBCThe NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship is set to start in less than two weeks. 57 poker pros and 7 online qualifiers will take part in this event and the list is now published on the NBC site.

Among these players, we will see the likes of Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson and many more. The brackets will be decided on March 4, at the Caesars Palace Draw Party.

About the event

The NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship is a 64-man tournament, where players compete in a series of heads-up matches. The tournament format is single-elimination, which means that only the winning player will advance to the next stage. However, the finals are in a best-of-three format, which means that the player to get two heads-up wins is declared overall winner.
