Nazgul Makes His Second Money Finish

Nazgul arrived today at the Amazon Room with high expectations, wanting to play his best poker, having chips and crushing his opponents. Busting out at 131st place, he signs his second money finish in a week's time.

WSOP Event 27With 43,200 chips at the start of Day 2, Nazgul was just a little above the average. But his need for action was still there: "Today, I just want to play poker, I really want to have cards, build my stack, chip it up and be able to make some moves!".

As always, with the same big smile, Nazgul proceeded to seat himself at the table. He lost a few chips and knows it will be hard during bubble time.
Second Time ITM
NazgulThe bubble was supposed to burst with 172 players left and it took a little more than two levels to reach it. No special action at that time, as it burst very quickly, enabling players to focus on their a-game.

Nazgul has a 50k stack at that time, but then he loses 30k in a big hand. Under the gun, I raise with AhQh and I get called by a guy in late position. Flop comes 7hThTs and I min-bet so that my opponent can re-raise me, which he does, and I shove it all-in. The guy tanks for a long 5 minutes, but he finally calls me with pocket nines and they hold..."

Down to 20k, Nazgul does not have a lot of chips in his stack left to actually play poker. "After this, it’s easy poker: push or fold!", he tells us grinning.

A November Niner At His Table
Moved to a new table, Nazgul has to play against Kelly Kim, one of last year’s WSOP Main Event finale table. "I’ve seen Kelly Kim playing, he is very nitty. At the final, he even folded when he had 2 big blinds!".

Eventually, it will be this player who will bust Nazgul in 131st position, calling all-in from Nazgul’s 9-9 with A-A (and one short stack calling too, with 5k, with 10-10). "I knew Kelly played only good hands, but I had to make the move. If only I could have hit a set, it’d have been first time in this tournament and it’d have helped me a lot !’

For all this good effort, Nazgul gets a little less that $4,000, but gets for his second time in the money in a week's time, which gives a good vibe for his upcoming tournaments.

"I’m not that happy, I really wanted to play poker so badly today. Luckily my friend, bagger0405, is still in, with a decent stack. I hope he’ll go a long way now’’, he tells, railing his friend from the  sidewalk. Tomorrow, we’ll follow Nazgul and Trader in the $5,000 PLO Event 35. Stay tuned!
