Partouche Poker Tour: Nazgul 12th After Day 2

Team PokerStrategy.com member Nazgul finished Day 2 in 12th position after Day 2 and in a great position to make a deep run. PokerNoob also survived and is in 50th position while BongBob has hit the rails.

NazgulIn total, 134 players made it past Day 2 and will return to compete for a piece of the  €5,684,160 prize pool. The top 81 players will make the money and the first place prize is worth €1.3 million.

Dane Jacob Rosmussen is the current chip leader with 812,800 chips while Vanessa Selbst is still near the top, with 572,900 chips for 3rd place. Most of the other big name pros are already gone, with Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and Phil Laak all hitting the rails on Day 2.

Nazgul with twice the chip average

Team PokerStrategy.com member AdminNazgul is one of the big stacks in the remaining field, as he holds 333,000 chips. He started Day 2 seated with Phil Ivey on the TV table, but Ivey was soon eliminated after losing a coin flip. Ivey went all in for 21 big blinds with 4-4 but lost the race against A-J.

In one hand against a French player, Nazgul raised preflop and barrelled twice on a KsJh8s2s board. He opted to check as another king came on the river and called a bet from villain. Villain showed 8-8 and Nazgul mucked his pocket aces.

BongBob goes out in the final hand

Fellow Team member AdminBongBob, however, did not have as good a day and was eliminated in the very last hand of Day 2. He went all in for all of his chips with A-9 but ran up against A-Q and could not improve by the river.

PokerNoob will be the only PokerStrategist who will join Nazgul in Day 3. He currently holds 181,700 chips, which is just above the chip average.
