PartyPoker Online Cash Game Championships Starts Monday

Starting on Monday, April 5, the world's first ever online cash game championships will kick off on PartyPoker. Players will have until Friday, April 9 to opt-in and have a shot at the $250,000 prize pool. Isildur1 has also been invited to participate.

This Online Cash Game Championship is the first of its kind to be played on PartyPoker, or any other online poker room. To participate, players just have to opt-in before the end of the first level of play, which is to be held from April 5 to April 9.

The championships will be held across seven different  levels. It is played entirely on the No Limit Hold'em tables and level one starts at  the $0.50/$1.00 tables. The stakes will keep increasing as players progress through the levels, with the final table being played at $25/$50.

Play 400 hands a day to qualify

In order be considered for entry into the next level, players will have to play at least 400 hands in one day, for each level. Players will be judged based on the first 400 hands of their most profitable day. The most profitable players will make it to the next level.

All players who progress past level two or the second chance level, will start earning cash prizes. Only half of the prize in level five and six can be cashed out immediately, the other half is to be used as a 100 big blind buy-in for the next level.

Isildur1 invited to participate

Meanwhile, Tony G has also sent an invitation to Isildur1, asking him to participate as a warm-up to the PartyPoker.com Big Game IV. "I mentioned this to him on the phone, asking him to opt-in - he can keep his mask on for this one! ... I feel that he is the champion online cash game player out there at the moment and it makes sense to formalize this."
