PartyPoker Premier League IV: Phil Laak Crushing the Opposition
Phil Laak is currently in the lead in the PartyPoker Premier League IV. He has won Heat 1 and 2 so far, while David Benyamine found his way to the top in Heat 3.
The fourth edition of PartyPoker's Premier League has gathered top pros such as Roland De Wolfe, Luke "FullFlush" Schwartz, Vanessa Rousso, Tony G, Daniel Negreanu and more.
While all of these names are well-known, one of them has managed to rise above the rest with an amazing performance in the Premier League IV thus far - Phil Laak.
Laak storms through the field
Laak (pictured right) has successfully taken down both the first and the second heats, thus securing himself a comfortable lead over the rest of the field.
I
n the first heat, he had defeated the defending champion, J.C. Tran. The second heat featured Laak aiming towards first place once again, this time defeating Roland De Wolfe in the heads-up.
This performance has earned Laak 32 points so far, as well as $64,000 in prize money. However, the third heat saw David Benyamine finding his way to the top, thus securing himself second place on the overall ranking list, 8 points behind Laak.
