PartyPoker Premier League IV Under Way
The fourth edition of PartyPoker's Premier League is under way, as the play-offs were concluded just days ago. Some of the players taking part in this league include J.C. Tran, Daniel Negreanu and Tony G.
With the play-offs over, the PartyPoker Premier League IV has finally kicked off in Las Vegas. The last player to secure his place in this event was Team Party pro Ian Frazer.
Besides Frazer, the roster for this event includes Daniel Negreanu, David Benyamine, Luke "FullFlush" Schwartz, Tony G, Vanessa Rousso, Roland de Wolfe, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Phil Laak, Phil Hellmuth and the 2009 champion, J.C. Tran.
The league consists of twelve preliminary single-table matches with each player competing in six. Based on where they finish in each heat, players accumulate points and the top four players gain entrance to the final.
The remaining two spots in the final are determined by heads-up matches between those four players with the next highest points totals.
In the final, each player's starting stack is determined by the number of points earned in the preliminary matches.
