PartyPoker Relaunch Announced
During the mid-year review, PartyGaming announced an impending relaunch of the poker room PartyPoker. Licences for the in-house poker network are supposed to be sold again amongst other things.
This would clear the way for new skins in the PartyPoker network. Similar to the iPoker network, poker room providers would thus have the possibility to acquire a licence for the PartyPoker network at PartyGaming.
All of it will come along with a completely overworked software which was especially adapted according to the wishes of the European customers. Furthermore, PartyGaming
announced a whole range of new features which are supposedly unique in the industry for now.
Behind the idea is apparently the new CEO Jim Ryan, who already worked for CryptoLogic and Boss Media. Only in 2005, PartyPoker parted with its poker network at the time and caused some agitation in the poker industry. Now the 180 degree turn follows, which is mainly explained by the Unlawful Internet Enforcement Act (UIGEA) from the year 2006.
Update - Correction:
The information that PartyPoker would introduce Euro- und Pound tables was removed from the text. PartyPoker has just informed us that they will continue offering tables only in one currency.
