PartyPoker Representative Warren Lush Talks About Pokerfest
We're hours away from the first event of the first ever Pokerfest at PartyPoker. In light of its debut event, we're bringing you an interview from the man behind the event, Warren Lush.
"We wanted to provide our customers with a serious tournament event series."

Warren Lush: We thought it was about time, we have never done anything like this before - there was a growing demand for it over recent months and we wanted to provide our customers with a serious tournament event series.
Warren Lush: The series caters for players at all levels. The buy-ins are diverse and achievable, with many activities around it ( e.g. leaderboards, side events, prize draws). Many of the tournaments require only PartyPoints to enter.
Warren Lush: The good thing about our leaderboards, is that they are separated by level of buy-in, so even if all you can afford is the points tournaments, you will still be able to compete for the leaderboard prizes."We consulted our top players and staff to try to come up with an interesting, affordable and exciting structure."
Warren Lush: This was an area we really focused on. For example:$35,000 Pokerfest Jackpots
- Win any three Pokerfest tournaments = $20,000
- Final table in any 10 Pokerfest tournaments = $10,000
- Win cash in any 10 Pokerfest tournaments = $5,000
From the 23rd October we'll be running two $1 buy-in tournaments every day at 13:45 ET and 16:00 ET but be warned – every tournament has a twist! Make sure you check the lobby each day for full details.
Prize Draw
For each of the 47 Pokerfest events you play in, you'll get a ticket for our Pokerfest prize draw. The first 500 players drawn will win a prize including iPad's, chip sets and other merchandise from our Points Store.
Pokerfest winners
All winners of Pokerfest tournaments will be rightfully rewarded with an exclusive memento of the event.
Warren Lush: We consulted our top players and staff to try to come up with an interesting, affordable and exciting structure, which will provide full poker and entertainment value for our players.
Warren Lush: Our goal is to make it an annual event, where prizes and participation increase every year. For a full overview of event, go to our Pokerfest forum thread.

Great for tournament players, but personally I found this monthly promotion not interesting at all. Usually we can win points/cash/bonuses through some game structure, the more we play the more we could win. You only had to have a couple of points to get the free PP's for entering the tourney's in this promotion, as a result we're getting in with player pools of + 3000. I'd rather have a lottery, saves me more time then this :p#2

Warren, great event for people in Euro timezone. How about PartyPoker add in a single promotion for people outside of that timezone. Even just one. That'd still be infinitely many more than the amount we have right now (that is: 0). We do pay rake after all. Or you could cut rake for people playing in these times ;)
