PartyPoker: Updates After BlackMember Feedback

As you might have noticed, PartyPoker has fulfilled its promise, and has included improvements in its software which were, in part, developed together with PokerStrategy.

Below you will find the original statement made by PartyPoker.

"Hello from PartyPoker,

In the course of the latest BlackMember party in Berlin, we sat together with the crème de la crème of the German poker community and were able to  gather some excellent feedback.

Fortunately, a few ideas for the improvement of the software were already on the list, however there were others weren't yet. We took a closer look at each mentioned point and worked on immediately implementing the most important ones.

So that all those PokerStrategy members who helped us identify important features and real problems are kept up to date, here are the results in the form of a small list with the most important improvements:

  • The most important one first: a whole bunch of performance improvements which not only make the software more stable, but also faster. Freezes and crashes of the software have been significantly reduced, as well as the wretched lagging of the mouse cursor, which means a more fluid game and more hands per hour for the players.
  • BlackMember Wish: in our new filter lobby, you can now pick several stakes/blinds, meaning that you get more tables from different stakes at a glance. And in the tournament lobby, we now have "All" filters which show you every tournament at a glance.
  • BlackMember Wish: due to a few changes on the player avatar of the new tables, it is now even ceasier to tell who is still in the game and who is not.
  • BlackMember Wish: each table popup such as Disconnect Protect, Jackpot- and Speed tables can be suppressed permanently now.
  • The problems with entering the bet amount at No-Limit tables, as well as with the keyboard shortcuts have been solved.
  • BlackMember Wish: removal of the timer status bar, so that the player name is always visible.
We don't rest on our laurels. In December, we will have another launch with further improvements, and we are currently working on the feedback from the workshop for the new year."

Forum: New PartyPoker Update
Eight contacts persons by partygaming at the BM party

At the latest BlackMember party in Berlin, PartyPoker showed up with eight contacts persons to receive the feedback from our poker elite.

Amongst them was also PartyGaming's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jim Ryan (pictured left) and Managing Director John O'Malia - two of the three most important PartyGaming employees.

CEO Ryan, who is an enthusiastic No-Limit player himself, said the following about the weekend in Berlin and the relationship with PokerStrategy:

"The PokerStrategy relationship is fundamental to PartyPoker and PartyGaming...It is a unique opportunity to have some of the best poker players in Germany in one spot dissecting a product - it is phenomenal... I think we will get more input here, from this group of individuals, than we would get in many months internally by actually doing surveys with customers.

Frankly, what I look forward to - given that we [CEO Ryan and Dominik Kofert] are both located in Gibraltar - is not only having this business relationship and extending that in the long term; but just having the ability to sit down and have a good business discussion and have a discussion about the product and our strategy.

Here you can find the video interview with CEO Ryan:

Managing Director John O'Malia - also a poker player - emphasised the importance of PokerStrategy and the high quality of the PokerStrategists on the BlackMember party:

"We at Party regard it as a very successful partnership, and as a very important partnership. We have learned so much already this weekend - what we can implement now, how we can improve our product. And this also has its returns."
