What the WSOP is for live poker, the 'PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker' (WCOOP) is for online poker. On September 5th, the tournament kicks off. The guaranteed combined prize pool sums up to $30M - twice as much as at the last WCOOP.

Overall 33 tournaments will be offered. With a guaranteed prize pool of $10M in the Main Event, PokerStars will introduce a new dimension of online poker. The buy-in for it is $5,200. Last year, about 3,000 players participated in the Main Event. After almost 24 hours, the winner had been decided.

New in the tournament schedule is amongst other things the $10,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Event as well as a $25,500 Heads-up tournament. The kick-off is a $215 No-Limit Hold'em Short-handed event with $1M guaranteed.
