The Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam is about to kick off. Tobias "PokerNoob" Reinkemeier from Team PokerStrategy.com will be there to try and claim the title.

MCOP Winner 2008Last year, Danish Jan Sorensen emerged victorious, after besting a Scandinavian-dominated final table - in fact, the entire Top Five was composed of players from Sweden and Denmark. Apart from the title, he won the first prize of €623,100.

The format this year will be identical to last year's setup. 330 people showed up last year, each paying €6,200 to play - this brought the prize pool up to just over two million Euros.

Tournament play this time begins at 15:00(CET) on Tuesday, the 10th of November. You can follow the progress of PokerNoob and other PokerStrategists with the Live Ticker.
