Ivey's paycheck
It wasn't the most memorable year for poker superstar Phil Ivey in 2011.The collapse of Full Tilt Poker, a WSOP-less summer and a messy divorce settlement has meant the once golden boy of poker has been rarely seen over the past 9 months.
Ivey makes the news again today, with LRVJ's recent revelations that he had been receiving a monthly salary of $920,000 per month from FTP's parent company Tiltware.
His estranged wife Luciaetta was set to receive $180,000 per month in alimony provided Ivey was still taking home the $920,000 monthly from Tiltware.
These payments ceased after Black Friday, and Luciaetta Ivey has claimed her settlement has been "unfair". Ivey and his ex wife will be reappearing in court sometime soon.

High stakes corner
It's been a fairly quiet start to 2012 but everyone's favourite high stakes monster, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is back to his old tricks and seems to be in full grind mode. The Swedish Team PokerStars Pro has booked a solid $97,000 profit over the past 24 hours according to HSDB, and at the time of writing is embroiled in some deep stacked PLO across several tables.
Yesterday's biggest loser was Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies, who dropped just shy of $120,000. PokerStrategy.com Black Member

EPT founder and high stakes pro John Duthie has parted ways with sponsors PokerStars. The Englishman renowned for his wild style at the table confirmed this in a thread on 2+2, claiming "I'm afraid this decision had nothing to do with the VPP situation or the 'Sit-Out'; it was quite simply that I didn't want to renew my contract which expired 31st December".
Duthie is the latest in a long line of sponsored PokerStars pros who will not be part of the Team Pro roster in 2012.

Funny how this year's biggest winners were actually big fish the year before. I believe Gus hansen dropped about $9-10M at his worst point. And Ilari lost quite a few millions playing drunk/not enough sleep on FTP.Ilari is still profitable on FTP and Pokerstars though. But it must hurt going from 7M to 800k profit on FTP in 1,5 year.
Good to see them both back and winning though.

Kinda doesn't make sense to include FTP winners when it's not even sure some are getting that money -.-#3
