The High Stakes Weekend On FTP

The first weekend of August again saw a lot of High Stakes action on Full Tilt Poker (FTP). 'howisitfeelllike' won $432,272. The biggest loser was John Juanda, leaving $299,201 at the tables. Gus Hansen also had to endure losses - minus $189,858 for the Dane.

'howisitfeellike' and 'LoLiNa' dominate the Weekend

The online pro 'howisitfeellike' dominated the H.O.R.S.E. High Stakes on Full Tilt Poker this weekend. In the supreme variant alone, the biggest H.O.R.S.E. winner of the weekend won $224,248. Also in the other variants the online pro scored: plus $116,488 in the FL Omaha Hi/Lo matches and $91,535 in the PL Omaha sessions.

Second-best of the weekend, 'LoLiNa', had an almost similarly impressive run. $200,293 came from his FL Omaha Hi/Lo sessions, where he was also the winner of the weekend. At the H.O.R.S.E. High Stakes he made an impressive profit of $200,952 and only had to submit to 'howisitfeellike' in this game variant.

Eight Players break the $100,000 Mark

Besides the already mentioned players, the following ones broke the $100k mark: 'charzard' ($211k), 'SteveSung' ($204k), 'IamSoSo' ($157k), 'La Key U' ($131k), Brian Hastings (127k) and 'luvtheWNBA' ($101k), who only participated at the Hold'em sessions.

In one hand, Hastings busted the perfect flop for 'Ziigmund':
At the table sat Brian Hastings and 'Ziigmund'. The variant was $200/$400 PL Omaha. Brian Hastings had the button and called the $400. 'Ziigmund' raised to $1,200, and Hastings called. The flop came with , and a real raise war erupted. At first, 'Ziigmund' made a conti-bet to $2,400, Hastings raised to $6,000. 'Ziigmund re-raised to $14,000 himself, and Hastings raised once more to $22,000. Ziigmund pushed his remaining chips across the line and was all-in for $56,000. Hastings called and showed for trips, but 'Ziigmund' flipped over and thus had flopped the full house. The turn card didn't change anything yet, but the river gave Hastings the higher full house and thus the $81,000 pot.

The Losers of the Weekend

If there are winners, there also have to be losers. John Juanda left behind almost exactly $300,000 at the tables and is thus the biggest loser of the weekend. He was joined on the 'Loser List' by a couple of famous names. Gus Hansen lost $189,858, Eli Elezra $121,006 and 'durrrr' $105,069.

Not kissed by Lady Luck either were amongst others: 'slaktarn' (-$206k), 'KobyTAPOUT' (-$191k), 'vandAAgnog' (-$173k) and 'EazyPeazy' (-$142k).
