WPT London: PokerStrategist 2nd After Day 2, Ivey Out

PokerStrategist Tonio "kernassi" Roeder finished Day 2 of the World Poker Tour in London just shy of the chip lead. Big names like Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel and Freddy Deeb however, have all been eliminated.

kernassiWhile originally scheduled to play down to its final 27 on Day 2, 38 players still remain in the field, with several PokerStrategists among them. The top 18 finishers will get a piece of the £820,800 prize pool, with £273,783 going to the winner.

kernassi (pictured right) starts Day 3 with the second biggest stack of 424,400 chips, just behind chip leader Giovanni Safina who has 508,800 chips.

The other PokerStrategists who are joinining kernassi in Day 3 include winkiac (263,700), fabstinho (140,400) and lechuckpoker (65,800).

Ivey and Seidel go busto

Most notably absent from the list of survivors of Day 2 are Erik Seidel and Phil Ivey, who were both among the Day 1 chip leaders. Ivey was sent to the rails by the nut flush of British pro Luke "FullFlush1" Schwartz.

Schwartz managed to hang on to Ivey's chips and is making a return on Day 3 with 92,500 chips. Huck Seed is another top pro left in the field and he has a healthy looking stack of 162,700 chips.
