WSOP 2010: Nine PokerStrategists Make the Money

747 players made the money in the WSOP 2010 Main Event today and nine of them were PokerStrategists. Of those nine, eight will return on Day 5 to continue their hunt for the $8.94 million first place prize.

YoghiThe money bubble for this year's WSOP Main Event was broken on Day 4 after three and a half levels of play. Players' broke for dinner before hand for hand play was conducted. It took less than ten hands of play before Tim McDonald became the unfortunate bubble boy.

Of the PokerStrategists that made it into the money, cYde was the only one who has been eliminated. He bowed out in 654th place and earned $21,327. The chip counts of the other eight that remain are as follows:

574 left to compete for $9 million prize

innerpsycho Only 574 players remain in the running after competing for 16.5 levels of play. Tony Dunst is the current chip leader with 1,546,000 chips. Theo Jorgensen and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond are also among the big stacks, with around 1.35 million chips each. Blinds will resume on Day 5 at 3,000/6,000 with a 1,000 ante and the average chip count currently stands at 382,500.

Before losing a few medium sized pots in the last hour of the day, innerpsycho (pictured left) had actually accumulated a lot more chips than what he ended with. In one of the largest pots of the day, innerpsycho flopped two pair and got it all in against an opponent who had a flush draw and an open ended straight draw. He faded all the outs to double up to almost 850,000 chips.

For Panny1, his day really got going when he picked up a huge 520,000 chip pot against Theo Tran early on. Panny1 had 3-bet A-K preflop from the small blind and got Tran to call a bet on every street after that. Panny1 had flopped top pair top kicker and it was good at the showdown.

Finally, HenrikX was seated on Tim McDonald's table when McDonald was eliminated as the unfortunate bubble boy. Mcdonald however can take consolation in the fact that his entry for next year's WSOP Main Event will be covered by one of the sponsors.
